Vietnam must be one of the last few places where the revolutionary statues are not just historical artefacts. Lots of people were getting their photos taken under these revolutionary heroes, so I thought I would join in.

We are having great weather here in UB - well above zero most of the time, and the dust storms last only a few hours. Look at the light in this shot of me in the big square in the centre of town - with the old opera house and the new office town behind.
