It was so chilly overnight in Istanbul (2 degrees, wind and rain), but the central heating and double glazing worked a treat in keeping me warm. The Harvey Nichols 90% off sale also made my heart warm. Off to USA today (not via Amsterdam).

Beautiful Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
It is so lovely and cold and chilly here in Bishkek. Minus 5 degrees C at the airport last night. This shot is from last February when we had lots of snow, but I thought I would use it again to give the right impression.

Shopping in Baku, Azerbaijan
You can buy pretty much anything in Baku - no shortage of rugs or designer stores. Here are two typical shots. Sadly, the Azeri moustache in the picture has fooled no one.
